This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about this month’s hobby loot.
So here are today’s ROBOT Damashii Gundams or those ‘Gundams that don’t have a proper 1/144 High Grade model’. Possible reasons? Gundam Formula 91 – The HGUC line is still focused on Mobile Suit Gundam UC and thus, no HGUC Gundam Formula 91 in the foreseeable future.

Starting off this month’s robits are double copies of the HGUC Gundam Delta Kai… and there’s a somewhat valid explanation regarding this. As most Gundam modelers know, HGUC kits aren’t exactly the pinnacle of perfect transformation. More often than not, especially with the Zeta Gundam design lineage, this is achieved with additional parts. That being said, the OC nature of this collector compels that instead of repeated part-swapping, one kit will be built permanently in MS mode while the other in Waverider mode, thus the two kits.

This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire… yada-yada-yada!
That was the question left in the second part of Today’s Robits – May 2012. And now here’s the answer. As far as this collector is concerned, this is the only CATALOGUE-friendly figure line that contains both the original Dancouga and Dancouga Nova. That said, CATALOGUE Entry #3004 will be designated to another robit to make room for these two. And maybe, Revoltech Dancouga will be designated much later on, for comparison with the GN-U DOU version. |

Starting off the 2013 robits are these two "wears" or variations of the Gundam AGE-3, the Advanced Generation universe homage to the ZZ Gundam. How about the Gundam AGE-3 Fortress? Haven’t bought that one but there’s something planned for that kit. Never really liked the color scheme of the Fortress so some research on the design revealed additional color schemes that were considered… Yeah, talking about something that’s not even in this list.

This is These haven’t arrived yet. Heck, they’re not even out of the HobbyLink Japan warehouse. Anyway, enclosed in red is next batch of robits that will be coming from HLJ. An item here to be excited about is the Mobile Suit Gundam MS Encyclopedia 2013, which is essentially a catalog of all mobile suits that have appeared in various Gundam media. It covers animated productions, manga, side-stories, photo novels and many more. It’s now on low stock at HLJ so get it while you still can. |

It was the holidays so that’s a pretty legit way to have gotten more loot than usual. Speaking of the holidays, these first two came from the annual Christmas Toy Fair, a local convention. Completing the protagonist suits in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 —Stardust Memory— is the HGUC Gundam GP03. So yeah, have to work on touching up GP01, GP01Fb and GP02A. And we have more Iron Mongers to wreck havoc with this guy.

November has started, so what better way to start the month than to show the robits that for September! Yeah… anyway, this particular purchase is a bit different.
This is from the original Chinese (that’s right, original) animation Galaxia. Those interested can watch the series on YouTube as Anh Hung Vu Tru, the Vietnamese dub, but the original English dialogue is still audible. This also meant that the figure is subject to Chinese quality control, or the lack of it. |

Things in the hobby front have been pretty slow lately, with the July acquisitions amounting to these two and still none for this month — Life is winning against Hobby Life. Anyway, the robits for July are:
It always feels nice when items featured in a Plastic Crack post are eventually featured as acquisitions. Gives a sense of achievement in a geeky way. |

Given the hefty loot last May, things took a lighter turn this June. First is a 1/32 scale Proto Garland from Megazone 23 Part II.This doesn’t transform into maneuver craft mode due to its size but an interesting kit nonetheless. To its right is Super Robot Chogokin Dai-Guard from the series bearing the same name where the logistics of operating a robot presents more problems than the enemies themselves.

Gunpla/Model Kits
Incoming plamo backlog! Finally got the RG Freedom Gundam, making the mandatory Real Grade purchases decrease to two. The red-blue color balance of HG Gundam AGE-2 Double Bullet makes an appealing aesthetic in contrast to the mostly blue Gundam AGE-2 Normal. And LBX Elysion is the 3rd machine of the series’ lead… better start building the first two. |

A month ago, there was a promise… that April’s haul will be literally epic… and yes it is, not due to quantity. The HG Gundam AGE-2 Normal purchase is already a no-brainer with this guy around. However, the second item isn’t as it marks the entrance of the Super Robot Chogokin line in the CATALOGUE with the The King of Braves GaoGaiGar — a robit perfectly fitting the "epic" adjective.

As mentioned in a previous post, March has been one crazy ride for this collector and that’s quite evident in the acquisitions (or make that a single acquisition) shown here:
Unlike the previously featured Air Assault Drone, these two drone figures are only available in the "Fury of Combat" set which also included an Iron Man Mark-VI and – you guessed it – a Nick Fury figure. Worry not though as next month’s robits will be pretty epic… literally. |

January’s robits continue building up the #4000 ROBOTS category with the addition of three more figures and another whose acquisition has been delayed for the longest time:
With ARCH GURREN LAGANN secured, only one is needed to complete the Gurren Lagann evolution. And yes, MANGA SPAWN is a robot… it’s has freaking boosters! |

Special props goes to the great guys at ROBOT4LESS for taking orders outside the US despite being unable to with their current system. And as for this guy, please blame its lack of progress to one of the robits here… |

So here’s the mandatory loot post for October. Do take note that they are all purchased at sale prices so they’re not budget-killers this time… that’s misplaced justification right there.
That HGUC Zeta Gundam will serve as a duplicate kit that’s permanently on Waverider Mode. And yes, they are still robits. |
