BLOG: Today’s Robits – March 2015

Today's Robits - March 2015 This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about this month’s hobby loot.

April has just started and yes, finally caught with the acquisitions that came last March. Starting this off is this awfully cute cardboard.

In another of Sen-Ti-Nel’s quirky crossovers, they’ve decided to mix two very different properties — the dark and gritty world of Maschinen Krieger and the light and happy world of Yotsuba&! — to come up with this very unique line of figures. Imagine Danboard, the lovely cardboard robot seen in a ton of photo shoots, as an S.A.F.S. (or rather S.A.C.S.) unit.

Better start taking those pictures now!

BLOG: Today’s Robits – February 2015 (Late Post!)

Today's Robits - February 2015 This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about this last month’s hobby loot.

February was a plamo-centric month of acquisitions as the robits that arrived were, you’ve guessed it, model kits.

When Bandai released the 1/48 Ingram kit for The Next Generation —PATLABOR—, they also reissued all the past Patlabor model kits. These included the Master Grades and the 1/60 scale ones. The smaller scaled kits were different that these employed an inner skeleton for the major joints that are enclosed in a rubber-like material to replicate the original design.

BLOG: Today’s Robits – January 2015 (Very Late Post!)

Today's Robits - January 2015 (Very Late Post!) This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about this last-last month’s hobby loot.

Yeeah… Stuff happened and wasn’t able to make posts for a couple of month’s worth of robits. Decided not to cram all those items in a single post because who would read a long post of just new loot?

Here’s another reason to get the RG Gundam Exia, making it two reasons now. Haven’t built the HG version because of you know, backlog, and now this has arrived as well. Needing some serious model-building priorities right here.

Anyway, would Bandai release a similar Avalanche Exia conversion set?

Today's Robits - November-December 2014 This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about this month’s hobby loot.

It’s becoming quite a tradition to start these robit posts with stuff other than robits, so let’s go with that.

Aside from the usual awesomeness with every new Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN volume, the other item here came from Japan as a Christmas gift. Sold as an exclusive to the Akihabara branch of the Gundam Cafe is this cute piece of ceramic designed after Beargguy III from Gundam Build Fighters. LOL Teddy in Melancholy.

  • Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN Vol.8 – Operation Odessa
  • Gundam Cafe (Akihabara Exclusive) – Beargguy III Mug

Today's Robits - September & October 2014 This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about this month’s hobby loot.

Time to play catch up again on two months worth of loot thanks to some shenanigans that happened recently. In any case, here are the robits that arrived in the last couple of months.

And what better way to start things off? Than with a book of course! Vertical continues to have its quarterly releases of Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN and form what this collector has read or seen, things are really interesting. Too bad said collector has to catch up with the last three volumes or so.
