Today's Robits Special - High Grade (1990) This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about this month’s hobby loot.

For those new to the hobby, these were the first ‘graded’ kits that Bandai ever released — the original 1990 High Grade line. Engineering wise, they’re worlds inferior to today’s modern standards but these robit purchases were totally driven by nostalgia. The HG Zeta Gundam kit was also notable for its Wave Shooter mode, taking the transformation of the earlier Zeta Plus kit from Gundam Sentinel. No plans of building them at the moment, but it’s good to know that they’re now complete.

Today's Robits - Late 2015 Catch Up (Part 2) This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about this month’s hobby loot.

So before the year actually ends, here’s the second part of the late 2015 robit catch up. Starting off is Voltes V which is a pop culture thing in the Philippines due to its broadcast cancellation in the 70s. And this is probably the best representation of that machine that Bandai has released by far. Now the decision to get this Hulkbuster has been tough to make since until now, the larger Iron Man figures have been purchased in the 3.75" scale. But they’re mostly antagonist units so the larger ones will be limited to the Hulkbuster and its variants.

  • SOUL OF CHOGOKIN GX-31V | VOLTES V [40th ANNIVERSARY]
  • MARVEL SELECT | IRON MAN HULKBUSTER

BLOG: Today’s Robits – August 2015

Today's Robits - August 2015 This is Today’s Robits – posts that showcase CATALOGUE-related acquisitions for the entire duration of the covered period. In other words, it’s all about this month’s hobby loot.

So what about May, June, and July? Hopefully those will be posted within the week. In the meantime, here are the robits for August, starting with books.

Every couple of years, Kadokawa releases MOBILES SUIT Illustrated, a book chronicling every official mobile suit design made from Mobile Suit Gundam in 1979 to the latest series. For the 2015 edition, it covers designs up to Gundam Build Fighters Try and GUNDAM Reconguista in G. Oh and this thing is heavy, like 2 kilos worth of both mobile suit designs both in color and line art. So yeah, totally worth it.
